China “cured” novel coronavirus patient with a drug for AIDS

China claimed to have “cured” novel coronavirus patient with a drug for AIDS. Wang Guangfa, a famed medical expert infected with the Wuhan coronavirus, was discharged by the hospital on Jan 30.

Wang Guangfa, director of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Peking University First Hospital, has been in the spotlight since he was confirmed to be infected with novel coronavirus. On the afternoon of January 30, Wang Guangfa’s pneumonia was cured and was discharged from Ditan Hospital in Beijing at about 13:50.

He suspects he got infected through his eyes

Wang Guangfa is a member of the expert group of pneumonitis infected by novel coronavirus. He went to Wuhan with the expert group of the National Health and Medical Commission to carry out relevant testing and verification work. On January 21, he reported that he was suspected of pneumonia infection by novel coronavirus and started to receive treatment.

“Beijing Breathing Brother” is Wang Guangfa’s nickname on Sina Weibo. During the isolation treatment, he sent Weibo to trace the details in Wuhan, and found that there are two likely occasions to cause infection: one is to Wuhan The next day I went to the ICU of Jinyintan Hospital to see the critically ill patients, just in time for the intubation.
