Hong Kong Police Publicly Calling Citizens Cockroaches

How would you respond to police calling citizens “cockroaches” and calling it an appreciation?

Responding to the accusations of Hong Kong police officers using the term “cockroach” to describe citizens, a representative from the PPRB, TAM said in an interview, “Residents don’t need to over-interpret how the police called them. Cockroach might be a very bad simile to some. However, from a more positive perspective, isn’t that cockroach a creature full of vitality?”

When the media asked about the unprecedentedly-low police-resident relationship and satisfaction at this period, TAM answered, “I want to know how the society response to what I say now.”
