Italian opera singer Stefano Lodola performed Italian version of “Glory to Hong Kong”

Hong Kong – Italian opera singer Mr. Stefano Lodola came to Hong Kong and performed in protests scenes. On Christmas Eve, he performed Italian version of “Glory to Hong Kong” in Times Square, Causeway Bay.

Large crowd of citizens gathered across at least six floors and held up their phone torches.

Mr. Stefano Lodola supports HongKongers’ pursuit of freedom and democracy. He hopes to cheer up protesters by showing his support through music.

When pressed by First Hand on “What makes you come to Hong Kong and sing for the Hong Kong protesters?“, Stefano Lodola answered

I had affection for this movement because I sang for them during the Umbrella Revolution. I was watching those horrible livestreams of brutal repression online and regretted that I wasn’t doing anything about it.

Then, as a singer, when I heard the hymn of the protest [Glory to Hong Kong], I thought I could sing it to cheer the people up. I saw bands of local musicians doing flash mobs and I got in touch to join them.
