The social welfare sector initiated a three-day strike as a warning, urging the authorities to address the five demands.
On December 19, hundreds of citizens joined a march to visit 8 consulates from Australia, Czech Republic, Italy, the Netherlands, Britain, Japan, the United States and Canada as well as the European Union office in Hong Kong. Participants urged foreign nations to implement their own Hong Kong Human Rights Acts.
The marchers waved multi-national flags and chanted “Five demands, not one less,” “Stand with Hong Kong” on their way.
