Foreign ministers of Five Eyes allies express concerns over Hong Kong’s delaying of elections

The foreign ministers of the Five Eyes intelligence alliance have slammed the postponement of Hong Kong’s upcoming elections, urging its government to hold them as soon as possible.

The top diplomats of the U.S., the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand have expressed grave concerns over Hong Kong’s delaying of Legislative Council elections. In a joint statement issued on Sunday, the so-called Five Eyes allies stated that they are deeply worried about the Hong Kong government’s unjust disqualification of candidates and disproportionate postponement of the Legislative Council elections.
