Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam said to the media on Tuesday morning before the before Executive Council meeting, “we are totally against the bill. We don’t see any need for it, and we don’t see any justification for it” said Lam. The reporter asked Lam what Beijing Central Government would do to countermeasure the bill. She replied that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the sanction measures such as the U.S. warships’ application to visit the Hong Kong will no longer be considered. It means that the Central Government has refused the U.S. aircraft carrier’s request to have a break in Hong Kong.
