American cattle ranchers hurt by pandemic and globalization; 1/3 might not survive

American Cattle Rancher Shad Sullivan has a virtual sit down with Patrick Bet-David after Mr. Sullivan’s video went viral about the potential food supply chain issue in America.

Mr. Sullivan talks about the gloomy reality faced by American cattle ranchers as well as the unfair and unsafe practices in the monopolized meat distribution industry.

Like many other cattle ranchers, Mr. Sullivn is already operating at a loss without the pandemic due to globalization and monopoly in the meat distribution industry. He estimated that as many as one-third of the cattle rancher businesses might not be able to survive the pandemic without major changes to protect those who being turned into modern-day serfs.

Shad Sullivan is the R-CALF USA Private Property Rights Committee Chair. Sullivan is a fifth-generation native to southeast, Colorado. Raised in the family stocker operation on Antelope Mesa in northwestern Crowley County, Shad learned early on the importance of hard work, dedication, loyalty, and integrity. He is a graduate of Crowley County High school and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture/Animal Science from West Texas A&M University in 1996. After a short stint instructing and coaching equine evaluation at Clarendon College, Shad returned to the family ranching operation to help perpetuate the family tradition of land stewardship and beef production.
